1988 JAGUAR XJS 5.3 V12 HE - UNFINISHED RESTORATION PROJECT. I have owned this classic V12 Jaguar luxury Sports Grand Tourer for 21 years and has been registered with the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club most of that time. These silky smooth V12s replaced the E type and were in production for 21 years with about 65,000 produced, 5000 in 1988 and few remaining today, this XJS chassis provided the platform for the Aston Martin DB7 and in their time only Lamborghini and Ferrari competed in this Super car category with V12 engines. JAGUAR XJS V12 Specifications include 5343cc V12 engine developing 295 BHP 345 lbft Torque transmitted through a 3 speed GM 400 Turbo Auto gearbox. Top Speed 153 mph, 0-60 in 6.7 sec, 14 mpg. Air-Conditioning, Tevas anti-lock braking system, Cruise control, Motor Powered Heated Leather Seats, Leather Steering Wheel, Electric Windows and Door Mirrors, All Leather and Burr Elm Wood interior. For increased stability the rear wheel drive limited slip diff axle had Inboard Rear Discs and Parking Brake with the fuel tank located directly over it. This is a rare example with a factory fitted electric slide and tilt sunroof. Immobilser/Alarm fitted and currently mileage is 113,835 This car has been kept in storage for the past 15 years only being driven on occasions and has not been on the road for the past 2 years.
